Anarchism and anarchists have always had negative
publicity from politicians and media.
Anarchists are portrayed as dressed in black clutching
a bomb, or else as punks with a circled "A" on the
back of their coats. IN REALITY, anarchists are
ordinary people: nurses, advice workers, miners,
dockers, parents, school kids, lawyers, the
unemployed, postmen and woman, teachers and students.
The list is endless.
So why do the capitalists, using their politicians
an media, try to portray us as scary individuals who<
should be locked up? Because they are scared of us
- well scared of our ideas anyway. We don't want
them controlling money, work, housing, and the rest.
We want to take back this power for all of us.
SO, because they are scared of us they use every
opportunity they can to discredit our ideas.
Well, now you can find out for yourself what
anachism really means. The anarchist bookfair is
an annual event giving the opportunity to find out
more about anarchism and meet others involved in
everyday struggles.
With over 70 groups offering all kinds of
information about anarchism and meetings on a wide
range of subjects, whether you know nothing
about anarchism or think you know everything-
there will be something at this year's
bookfair for all.
