March 31, 2006: an email from Richard.
Allan; I am sorry for failing to detail your account. As I understand the order (without a hard copy to read), I am to provide approximately an hour of observation at the close of your parenting time. Your attorney offered that 'starting' the parenting time may be a good idea as well. This qualifies as what my contract defines "partial supervision". I am not able to book any other appointments during this time as I must be available to you and your children. The fee is $30/ hour for every hour of the parenting time. Parenting time this weekend only is billed at $51 per hour and the balance will be credited to your May account when I receive the order that permits me to leave during the parenting time. I intend to spend approximately 1/2 time with you on this first appointment. Again, I am so sorry for sending such a large bill without advising as to how I arrived at the figure. We can go over the contract and consider further adjustments when we talk on Sunday. Thanks, Richard
March 31, 2006
Dear Richard,
Hum? Well, I don't know what to say except I can not afford you.
I never heard the Judge say that you had to be concerned about the children except at the end of the parenting and I concluded that you can book other appointments during this time.
Sincerely,
Allan

Rena, since I was not present in court, my information about what the judge decided comes to me by word of mouth. I am told that Inga and I must come to Louisville and that the children will not be travelling to Durham during Spring break. This to me is a disappointment, because I had asked for permission to invite them to visit us.
Based on what I know, I believe that, if the judge allowed me and Inga a three day visit with our grandchildren during Spring Break, that it would be a continuous period of three days and two nights, and that we would not have to bring the girls to your home each night. I am also unsure whether the judge ordered that Richard Nassr would have to be present during the last hour of days when we are with the children. It makes more sense to me to think that the last hour with Richard Nassr applies only when Allan is alone with the children.
It is still uncertain whether Inga will be able to travel to Louisville. I anticipate coming, even if she does not make it. Since Sofia will have her braces installed on Tuesday and both girls have other appointments on Tuesday afternoon, I suggest Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as the three days during which I (or Inga and I) will be able to see the children.
I am awaiting the signed version of the judge's ruling to resolve these doubts.
At what hour do you usually leave the house to go to work? I (or Inga and I) could pick up the children before you leave for work in the morning. We would bring them to our hotel for breakfast and go places
from there.
Best regards, William
April 1, 2007
Allan; after careful consideration, I have adjusted your account to reflect
weekly two hour billings (to cover travel and observation time) as we
discussed. This will reduce your expense over the regular "partial" charge
by $78/ week (for 6 hours of parenting time each week). Further adjustments
(on an hourly basis) may be made based on my involvement during the
parenting time. Your new balance for April is $612. This includes today
that was billed for 4.0 hours (travel and face-to-face). Please remit to
P.O. Box 4161, Louisville, KY 40204 by April 15, 2007. Thanks very much.

Oh what a day. It worked out very nicely and I was extremely gentle with my children. I took my children to Deam lake in Indianna. We explored the laek and several piles of gravel and then went walking in the forest. They were not wearing the right kinds of shoes so we did not go far, but we were mesmerized by wasps, spiders and mushrooms. The children were most interested inplaying games on the computer, which I set up so that both could play. I have two laptops and a converter with an extension chord so that both appliances can be used and speakers so that they can listen to the sounds at good volume. So they were fully entertained int he car driving both to Deam's ake and returning. However, suddenly Hannh called out to me. "Daddy, I want to call MOmmy." I said that was a good idea and gave her the cell phone. Things went very quickly now and I can not say what Sofia was doing since she was right behind me and I was drving but at one point Hannah explained lume me that Mommy had told her that she and Grammy had spoken about "dangerous" situations with her but that they only speak well of me. Hannah went on to say that "Mommy doesn't care if (Hannah) says this to me or not." A few minutes later Hannah said that she wanted to call MOmmy. I gave her my cell phone sshe called LL. She told LL that she wanted LL to pick her up at the Waffle house. I spoke with LL and, of course, agreed that this is OK. Then I called Richard and told him what had happened. Richard arrived about ten minutes later. LL arrived about half an hour later, which meanst that Richard was able to observe Hannah with me for twenty minutes. If Richard did not work it out that Hannah was extremely happy with me, I think he is an absolute idiot. But anyway, LL arrived and took Hannah away. Sofia did not want to go with LL and staqyed with me. Sofia and I drew many pictures, practising complex drawings that included weird three dimensional images and the images of Donald duck. We also drew very realistic images of faces (Hannah, mine own and Sofia's. and then we went to the Karma Cafe and plwhen played chess. I showed Sofia the fastest way to place someone in check mate and she practicedthis with Richard. he beat him. We invented a game that involved only pawns and Sofia did remarkably well. She perfectly defeated me when she had a queen and was facing a deluge of my pawns advancing on the back row.
Then we returned to LL's she was late in arriving. She had Hannah with her. Hannah had a frozen yoghurt with her. Hannh was totally happy to see me agin and did a dance. I kissed my children good bye.
LL did not want to speak with me. She refused to tell me when the next meeting with LeeAnn is to be.
My children do not trust Richard. That was obvious because when I brought up what Hannah had said, the children both clammed up. Hannah's response to Richard as to why she wanted to return to LL was at first "I don't know," and then "to play with her cousins."
I am sure there had been no talk of being with her cousins tonight. Hannah was supposed to say something else to Richard but knew that it was both wrong and something she did not want to do.
My poor children. I told them that I never speak badly about anybody and they both said "I know."
I allowed Richard to listen to the messages tha Sofia and Hannah leave on my voice messaging system.
Hannah made no mention of her biological parents and neither did I, but I wondered about that after the children left. Maybe Hannah just forgot?
Dear Hannah,
Do you remember that I drew a picture of you? I like the picture very much and I am going to put it on my fridge when I get home. I love you very much and Hand a wonderful time with you at Deam Lake.
April 2, 2007
I met LL at LeeAnn's. "The painting that I made of her is accurate," I thought to myself. I had a made a painting of LL at Peter's studio. She looks evil. We updated LeeAnn on the court procedings on Friday, I criticised LL for misshandling Hannah while she was with me by coming to pick her up. I was not an easy person to be with. There is no reason why I should allow my children and myself to be maltreated. I accused LL of coaching the children again. I was in a hurry at the end of the meeting because I had to take the first of my exams for becoming a Certified Nurse's Assistant and left before another meeting had been scheduled. I called from my cell phone a minute later asking that this be arranged. I arrived a quarter of an hour late to class but aced the exam with a 98%. La vie en rose, avec des espines Lorenesques, continue.
April 2, 2007
Richard Nassr sent me a bill for the interim hanging out that he is doing with me and the children. I forwarded that to Farfar.
April 2, 2007
William,
Wednesday thru Thursday is fine with me. I usually leave for work around 8:00am.
I, too, am not 100% clear on what the judge ordered regarding Richard coming the last hour of each visit day and what the intention of the court is regarding sleeping arrangements. I was relying upon what I learned from a conversation with my atty. I think that no specific order was rendered regarding that yet. Meanwhile, until we get clarification, I will plan that you will be in town Wed. thru Friday and the specifics will be worked out as we get notice from the court.
I told the girls that they would see you & maybe farmor, too, during spring break and they seemed excited.
Lorena
April 3, 2007 spoke well and beautifully with both my children. I was gentle with them, since they were both watching the little house on the prairi and could not listen to the TV while speaking with me I let them both go. Hannah told me that she dis not want to hang up with me if "it hurts my feelings," and I assured her that my feelings will not be hurt -- no matter what she does.
April 3, 2007
Dear Martha,
I tried to send you an email a week ago and for some strange reason the computer crapped out on me and the email was gone and tehn it has taken me a while to find another chance to write you. I wonder how you are all doing?
I am going to spend tomorrow with Sofia and Hannah and will again remind them of you. The Paraguay experience is so distant to them now that they hardly remember anything -- they have even forgotton the languages they spoke there.
Thinking of all of you,
Allan
April 2, 2007: I wrote and email to Richard asking him to make space for a conference before the next meeting and copied LL in on it: I said "There is a lot to talk about." LL may wonder what yhjat is. It ias that theere needs to be a symmetry and that anything that she says to the children I need to be able to say as well and that includes the right to call 911 when being threatened. Here is the email:
Dear Richard,
After meeting wtih LeeAnn it is clear that there is a lot to consider prior to next Sunday.
I think we should meet at Lorena's house.
Thank you,
Allan
April 4, 2007 5:45AM (That is very early in the morning!) I called LeeAnn to leave a message asking for her to set up the next appointment.
6:00AM I am at work.
9:00AM or close to that time, I get a call from Helmers' office. The secretary tells me that the order has been signed by the Judge. A copy of it has been emailed to me.
10:00AM or thereabouts, Richard calls to tell me that he has spoken with LL about Spring Break. Apparently LL thinks that he is supposed to co-supervise! He tells me that LL has asked for the KGB to become more involved. Richard spoke with KIm who Richard insinuated is insulted by the Judge not heeding her work.
11:00AM I call Richard to let him know that Papole has emailed hima copy of the Judge's orders.
11:20AM LeeAnn calls to say that she has arranged for a meeting with LL on April 18 at 3:30PM. I am glad and thank her repeatedly.
4:00PM I called Kelly, a friend of Rebecca Lasky and she tells me that she does not want me to make contact with her again. So, what do you think? I called Michelle, mutual acquaintance and left a message asking if she felt the same way but hoping that not.
4:30PM I down load the orders from the Judge. This is what they say:
1. The parenting time on Sunday for me is from 1:30 to 7:30PM.
2. easter egg hunt, chuchee cheses, toyr us, speed art
I had tried to call my children at 7PM but the phone had only rang interminably.
At 7:38 Sofia calls. I never did speak with LL and so she does not give me a summary of the day of the children. The telephone calls lasts until 8:10PM.
calculares the time to read a twelve page book at 10 seconds per page and answers two minutes. I am impressed by this. We get to making music with our telephones. Sofia tells me how to make the twinkle twinkle song by pushing buttons.
11 55 66 5 44 33 22 1
55 44 3 2 1
55 44 3 2 1
11 55 66 5 44 33 22 1
Then she tells me that she is spining and dizzy and that leads to a conversation about balerina. We talk about the fact that she is growing and I tell her that there are some parts of the human body that never stop growing (like ears) and then we talk about dumbo and before I know it LL is telling Sofia that she has to pass the phone to Hannah because Hannah needs to go to bed.
Hannah and I speak about fishes but it is a frequently interupted conversation because Hannah wants to tell LL things some of which I overhear: "i dont want to gross you out but ... kaitlin had a tick on the back of her neck." and so then Hannah and I talk about how to remove a tick. Hannah wants to know what would happen if a tick burrowed all the way to your brain. I tell her that ticks need to breath and so they can not go any further than the skin. Both my children are very sad to say good bye to me and repeat "I love you several time before we cease discourse."
April 4, 2007
Dear Richard,
Thank you for this email about the expense associated with keeping you in the case -- I understand that you have tried very hard to help me with the financial crisis and I profoundly appreciate this. I agree that further adjustments (hourly increments) may be compounded to this fee as a function of your involvement. It is important that I be able to call you and I want you to get paid for this. I will NEVER hesitate to call you. From what you tell me, Kim and Ginger are intent on keeping the children culpable for the chasm between me and the children -- the children must NEVER be put in the middle by anyone and I would like to make this clear to Lorena next time we meet. I think it would be better to meet with you and Lorena for three minutes to tell her what will be said and then have the children present.... Or we could call her before we get to her house and then the children will not hear me talking with her (with you present) and the phone on speaker phone.
As far as Spring Break is concerned, I would be glad if you meet my parents when we pick up the children. You and Lorena are welcome to call the children at any time while they are with us.
As far as the therapists are concerned, I would like to speak with them.
Again, thank you,
Allan
April 4, 2007
Dear Daddy,
The orders give you the leeway you need to take the children to N.C. There are many advantages to us all coming to Durham. These include the fact that we understand and are familiar with your home, the meals, sleeping arrangements, Mommy's medical needs are easier to tend to, Bony will not be left alone, etc.... Furthermore it is going to be expensive to live in a hotel (2 rooms) and eat in restaurants in Kentucky for three days. In any case, here or in Durham, it would be beautiful if Papole could be there.
Lots of Love,
Allan
April 4, 2007: Here is a collection of emails between Farfar and LL:
Date: Fri, 30 Mar 2007 12:30:58 -0700 (PDT)
Hello, Rena:
My wife and I have been looking for the best way tov carry out the part of the judge’s ruling, which has to > >do with our chance to be with our grandchildren during Spring Break. According to Allan, the Judge has allowed us to be with our grandchildren for three days. Despite the small amount of time, our preference would be for the children to visit us here in Durham. My wife is taking a strong medication against the recurrence of cancer. It has side effects which make her weak and sleepy and give her a back pain. She would like to see the children here, so as to avoid having to travel. Tentatively, subject to the availability of space on the airlines during this peak travel time, my wife and I have come up with the following schedule:
Wednesday, April 11: I travel to Louisville
Thursday, April 12: Allan and I pick up the children at your house and the four of us fly to Durham. We arrive in the afternoon and spend the evening together.
Friday, April 13: We spend all day together.
Saturday, April 14: Allan returns to Louisville with the children. He takes them to your house unless you prefer to meet them at the airport.
As soon as I have spoken to my travel agent and made the reservations, I will let you have the exact times of departure and arrival.
An alternative plan would be to move the visit forward by a couple of days. I would travel to Louisville on Monday, the 9th, return to Durham with Allan and the kids on Tuesday, spend all of Wednesday together, and Allan the the kids would return to Louisville onThursday.
Please let me know whether either one of these proposals causes you any inconvenience. You can reply to this e-mail or call me at (919) 401-8688.
Best regards,
William
Hi William:
In court today, it was explicitly understood that the three days visiting would be in Louisville. The Judge asked which days you would come here. Also, it was not said in court you would keep them over night. It is my understanding that Richard Nassr is to meet for the last hour of each visitation day with you and Allan (and Inga, of course). While no definate hours were established in court, I imagined you would spend the whole day with them and the last hour with Richard as ordered, then bring them home to sleep. I can also come pick them up. I am sorry to hear that Inga is not feeling well and that she cannot travel, but I cannot authorize anything extra over and above what was ordered.
Let me know which three days you are coming. I can tell you they are not available on Tuesday April 10 because Sofia is getting her braces installed, an appointment we have had over two months. Sofia & Hannah also have an appointment later that same day (since I will have to take off work anyhow to do the braces.) I need to know as soon as possible the schedule because of day care arangements. I had already reserved day care for the entire week Monday thru Thursday (including Tuesday from 8-10 am). I have to notify the child care agency of any changes. I also had already put in a vacation request for myself for Friday the 13th to have a little extra time with the girls. The district vacation request deadline is 2 weeks which we already have passed. Nonetheless, I can change my request if I need to--they will give me some latitude on that, but I cannot wait until the end of next week to tell them. I will be happy to work around your visit--I just need to know when it will be.

Dear Martha and Alec,
I hope you are having a good time. I hope you are still in Venice, floating with a spring breeze.
With deepest hopes,
Allan
Dear Papole,
My laptop does not have a word processor. Do you have one on a CD that you could bring me? That would be very pretty. Oh, and if you have a hard drive so that I can save all my shit, that would be cool too (you can take it back to TX.) Don't know if I am asking for too much, but if that is the case, please disregard as you are apt to do.

April 5, 2007:
7:15PM "How are you?" I asked LL when she picked up the phone. There was a silence and then I asked her "are you going to answer my question?" and she said "no." I told her that "Farfar tells me that we will be taking Sofia to the orthodist. Would you please email me the name, address, phone number and time of the appointment. " LL insinuated that she would be the one to speak with the orthodontist and that I am to wait outside but I assured her that I was happy to bring Sofia into the medical center and that I would like to speak with the professionals involved. Then, I told her that I was sure that Farfar and Farmor would be glad to speak with her and that we are all looking forward to meeting her. Then LL explained that the children are eating Pizza and somewhat indisposed to speaking with me on the telephone. She added that "here is Hannah," and the next thing I know I am speaking with someone who I think is Hannah but then turns out to be Sofia and she asks me to call back after she has finished eating. I am telling her that I will do that when the phone is hung up. I call right back. Sofia picks up the phone and I say "I love you very much Sofia and I will call you in five minutes." She responds "Ok, I love you too."
Five minutes later I call back and LL tells me that the children are eating and that Sofia will call me when she is ready.
Now it is 7:42PM. Hum?
Lorena calls at 7:45PM but I missed that call. I called back at 7:52PM and I can not do justice to the tone and the voice quality of LL in this writing but it was pretty far out there. She says "Sofia, is Hannah still talking first or is it you?"
Then she says "Sofia you have a telephone call." Hannah is screaming in the back ground
Then she says "Where are you? Upstairs?"
Sofia responds but I can not hear anything except for Hannah screaming and crying.
Then LL says "Well, you've got to!" and then adds "sorry!" (Presumably she is sorry about Sofia having to talk with me?)
Then she says "Do you need to go to bed Hannah?" Hannah cries out even more.
And by the time Sofia gets the phone, LL is taking care of Hannah's mood and Sofia goes to the basement to hide from the noise but I hear it even when she is in the basement and we are painting with acrylics. She is painting by numbers a picture of dolfins and I am advising her on the methods to paint. Sofia and I speak for half an hour and thenLL interrupts and states that Hannah needs to talk. I talk with Hannah for just a little bit about tongue twisters and this causes some laughter but then Hannah tells me that she wants to do some thing else and I let her go.

Allan,
We will not be at home on Easter Sunday. We will be staying Sat. night with my mother. The children will be brought to you by myself or their Aunt or Uncle. Where would you like to meet?
Lorena
April 5, 2007
Dear Lorena,
It is important, I think, that you and I meet when the children are transitioned to me. If you would like, I would be fine with picking the children up at Nancy's house. I believe Richard will be there.
I hope that you have a wonderful Passover and Easter.
Sincerely,
Allan.
April 5, 2007
Picking up at Nancy's house is not an option. Please suggest another location. Exactly why do you have to see me at drop off? Does this accomplish something in your opinion? What about waffle house?
Lorena Lasky
April 5, 2007
Dear Lorena,
I thought that it would be easiest, since the children are already at Nancy's, for you to have me pick them up there. Why is Nancy's place not an option?
You ask for the exact reason for your being present at 1:30PM on Sunday: It is important that you be present when I take responsibility for the children because we both need to speak with them and listen to them.
As for your second question, which should have been written "what are you hoping to accomplish?," or "what do you think we could accomplish?" ... is: improve the children's lives by showing them that both you and I are reasonable people. (Please re-read what you wrote.)
The Waffle House is rather far away for you -- especially if you will be with your mother. How about meeting at the Speed Art Museum instead? The last time I was there, I saw works by J. Pollock, G. Seurrat, C. Monet. R. Lichtenstein, P. Picasso, A. Warholl, R. Moore... and even though they are not the most famous of their pieces, it is still admirable. I would also prefer the Speed Art Museum because the children are not in need of food at 1:30PM having just eaten lunch. Would this alternative location be alright with you? Please let me know as soon as you can.
Sincerely,
Allan
P.S. Did the children get acquainted with Passover? I hope your Easter is nice.
April 5, 2007
Allan, last time I was in Louisville, you and I stayed in a hotel not far from the river. For dinner, we walked across the lawn toward the river, where we found a restaurant specializing in seafood. The place was overcrowded and the service was poor. It ook more than an hour for us to be served, because they had forgotten about our order. Do you remember the name of that hotel? Is is close to where Rena lives? If so, I will call them and make a reservation by telephone. If that is not the right hotel for this occasion, give me the name of another one, not far from Rena's house.
Rena writes that the appointment for Sofia to have her braces insatlled is not on Tuesday, as she had thought, but on Wednesday at 10:40. We will pick up the girls at 8 o'clock, then go back to the hotel for breakfast, then to the dentist at 10:40. The appointment should take about one hour.
Your Dad
April 6, 2007
Dear Daddy,
Here is the web page of the hotel where you and I stayed:
http://www.travelpost.com/hotels/Ramada_Inn_Rivermont_Zorn/h30633
It is called the Ramada Hotel and is on Zorn Avenue in Louisville close to the river front.
If the web link above does not work, then you could go to google and type in the previous sentence and do a search. The telephone number is (502) 897-5101, (800) 2-RAMADA

Allan;
I doubt the museum will be open on Easter Sunday. I agree, both of you present at the pick ups and drop offs is good modeling. I would also like to present at both. Thanks for the judge's orders. It appears that I have some discretion as to how much involvement is indicated.
Richard
April 6, 2007
Dear Richard,
My friend, Sheila, works at the Speed Art Museum and told me that it will be open from Noon till 5PM on Easter Sunday.
(Of course, if Sheila's wrong, we can still meet there and I will take the children from there. )
You are welcome to be present at the drops and pick off-ups... and you are correct in ascertaining that you have discretion as to how much involvement is indicated. (You're welcome for the Orders.)
Let me put it to you clearly:
The Judge said three things about your work:
(1) That she wanted you to verify the children's affect.
(2) That you decide how much to be involved.
(3) That you decide in what capacities to be involved. .
My Mother and Father will be in Louisville on Tuesday evening. My brother will be here one of these days. My sister may fly to Louisville as well.
I hope you can meet them all.
Sincerely,
Allan
April 7, 2007
Dear Lorena,
For the sake of the children I hope two things:
(1) That their Easter is normalized by you and Nancy and everybody else.
(2) That you bring the children to the Speed Art Museum.
I am sure you know that I would bring the children to Easter lunch at 2PM at Nancy's house and share Easter with your family if you said that was alright .
Sincerely,
Allan

Dear Hannah -- Liebe Hannah,
Once upon a time, a little girl came into my life and I became very happy. That is you!
Lots of love,
Your Daddy
April 7, 2007
Allan,
I am taking Sofia to the orthodontist to get her braces installed. Your father & mother wanted to get the kids at 7:45, presumably to go to breakfast. Since I wanted to accommodate them with the early pickup, I asked you dad if he would transport Sofia a couple of hours later to the dr. office. I think your dad said he could just bring her to the doctor's office. If it is too much of a problem, I can just come pick her up from where you are. Or, you could get Hannah at 7:45 & get Sofia at 12:00 when she is finished. Sofia can go with me to work & then to the appointment & you can get her afterwards. I am willing to accommodate any of the three options above. I think your dad & mom can let us know which is easiest for them.
I sent your dad the Dr's name already--Dr. Haskell.

I found the address on mapquest should you decide to stick with the plan of getting both girls at 7:45 and then transporting Sofia to the office. The link is below. The appointment is at 10:40 so I will meet you there at 10:30.

April 7, 2007: and so I responded to the above two emails as follows
Dear Lorena,
Thank you for the map and the name of the Doctor.
Taking my children to the orthodontist or doctor is my responsibility.
While the children are in my care, I am going to do that.
If you want to come along, that is the only option available to you and you should be gratefull that you can come along in light of your own self.
Sincerely,
Allan.

7:00PM and 7:48PM I called LL's place and no one answered the phone so this week again, there were only two calls when the Judge ordered three.
April 7, 2007
I called LeeAnn an left two messages, the first with the dates and the second with the times of the current week's telephone calls.

Allan:
I never said you could not come to the appointment. They do not allow parents to go in with the children, anyhow. There are 8 dental chairs in one big open room & parents are allowed to sit on a bench on the perimeter & watch from a distance.
Taking your child to the doctor is only half of the responsibility. The other half is paying for it. Your portion of the cost is $1,450. If you pay me that for the doctor bill by Tuesday, you are welcome to take on half of the responsibility for taking Sofia. There will be subsequent appointments after this one & you can take her to half if you pay for it.
Also, and quite simply, Sofia wants me to be there.
I would like your word by 8:00am Monday that you will pay for half of Sofia's orthodontist work next week. When you are in the office you can get a printout of her bill to verify the cost. I did, however, already supply you that through your atty.
By the way, I think the museum will not be open today but will bring the children there none the less.

Dear Lorena,
I am taking Sofia to the orthodontist to get her braces installed. Your father & mother wanted to get the kids at 7:45, presumably to go to breakfast. Since I wanted to accommodate them with the early pickup, I asked you dad if he would transport Sofia a couple of hours later to the dr. office. I think your dad said he could just bring her to the doctor's office.
You write "I never said (I) could not come to the appointment." in your email and yet you wrote in a previous email "
April 7, 2007
I have a good idea about how you can contribute to your daughter's orthodontic treatment. The last $1800 of the total $2900 was set up to be paid in installments of $100 a month for 18 months. I have paid five of those leaving a remainder of 13 months. You can pay me the $150 directly next week, then pay the remainder to the dr. office by taking over the payments. We just need something in writing between the two of us saying you are assuming the fiscal responsibility of this debt. Would this sound agreeable to you? The first payment is due in April--before the end of the month.

My time with Richard prior to the children arriving late (8 minutes late) was interesting. He described his telelphone conversation with Kim Dial and remarked that Lorena had been the one to call Kim and that then when Kim had asked her to be called back, had not recieved a call from Lorena. He reiterated that Kim was angry with the Judge.
Wow what a day with my children. I had the laptops all set up in the car for them to watch the video of Charlottes Web. They were completely engrossed in the movie while we drive to Krogers to get lu(where we met LL) and then to the gas station where we met with Papole and then to the Java Cofee house and then back to the Karma Cafe.... Ok, so now let me tell you about all the actual places.
The place where the children were delivered was that Speed Art Museum. This made them very happy. I had not known that they loved this place so much, but they were incredibly excdited about going here. They got involved in a wild and most bonkers competition that tinvolvedtrying to find the entrance from a new perspective (apparently I park my car in a different place from LL or Grammy, or whom ever it is that takes them there.) We spent a good long time at the art museum. It was a good experience. It was creative and educational and interesting and it blew their minds to look at some of the art from the different cultures. (I think it did.)
And then we went to Krogers and who should we meet there but LL. I went to her and invited her to come and greet the kids. She told them that she was getting cat food for them and that now the cats would not starve. I told LL to hug and kiss the cats for me and to pet them and scratch them lightly behind the ears.
And then we caught up with Papole. The children were reserved with Papole because they have never seen him before and that was OK. I let them be in the car and spoke with Papolle while they watched the movie on my lap top and then we went to the Java Coffee house where we met with Richard and Dawn Michelle and that was really good. Oh, by the way, I spoke in German the whole time with mschildren and realized that they understand me pretty good. Sofia understands me so well she can almost respond in German. Hannah, however can not even resolve that I am not speaking spanish. Well, panish to describe any language that is not english. ge is not Spanish but she uses the word Spanish to describe any language that is not English.
I think Richard felt comfortable with everything. He was glad to meet both Mark and Dawn mMichelle. He thought they were both perfectly reasonable people.

Must call my children tomorrow!
April 9, 2007
4:30PM I called the KGB and told them that I am open to discourse with them and that I am an open book as I always have been. I left this message for KIm Dial on her answering machine. I don't think this will help. Oh well.
April 10, 2007
Hannah Lasky goes to see Kim Dial and Kim Dial writes that Hannah states that "Daddy will not stop talking about pee-pee." Kim then coached Hannah on how to respond. It must have been a totally stupid experience for Hannah. Doesn't Kim see? And then Hannah said this to Kim (apparently) "When we get into a fight Mommy says it is over, and not to talk about it any more and why can't Daddy just stop talking about the peepee?" (By the way, I did not find this out until July 25, 2007) So we have mild documentation about the fact that ll talks about the allegations -- which is the same thing as coaching.
April 11, 2007
Today Farfar and I picked Sofia and Hannah from LL's place. We arrived withn a minute of the appointed time. It was a cold morning. Nancy was there. She acted a hustle and a bustle about stupid details that did not interest me like "where is Inga?" or "Hannah and Sofia have no school work during Spring break" or "Hannah and Sofia have not eaten breakfast yet." (It was 7:45AM) I actually came into the house and stood by the door. Saw that it looked pretty. Saw that the painting LL had bought in Paraguay was in the living room.... Then LL appeared. More fluster arrived with her presence. I asked about the things that I had sent in the email -- a favorite toy or stuffed animals etc... Oh, by the way, when LL asked about Farmor, I was sure that they were hoping she was sick with cancer -- now the question was making sense. Farfar had told me that LL had to go to work. I at first did not believe him but then I saw that it was likely. Ok, I when LL asked this question I said "But Farmor sends you her very best regards." and then I added "and to you too Nancy." Farfar was just great. Saying little and being cordial. It was perfect.
And the children were in a good mood but very lost about what they were going to be doing in the car. It was a fifteen mnute ride and I could tell that they were looking to find ways to keep themselves happy. We stopped for fuel but the children did not want to come out of the car. (This was never to be repeated.) Aunt Lara called and asked to speak with the children and I was very nice to her even though she had behaved with the most outspken psychological hellishness when dropping the children off. I could see that Sofia was not glad to speak with her. I do not know what she was saying but it can not have been good. And then when we got to the bed and breakfast, Farmor gave them each a great hug and that was very good.
Eating breakfast at the Waffle house was a good thing too becuase they are familiar with it. I brought in a chess game and some art supplies and Farmor and I kept the two children truly happy.
Each child has a back on their belt with a camera and a compete list of phone numbers.
And then Farfar and I took Sofia to the dentist and Papole and Farmor took Hannah to the flee markets....
LL was late to the dentist. Sofia was already in the chair when she arrived. She did not hang around with me and Farfar, she just went on back to where Sofia was. I joined them a little later and became excelleent friend of the Dr. Dr. Haskell. We spoke about languages a great deal. I spoke with him in spanish and with Sofia in German and he loved that. He was a very friendly man from new York,
And then when the procedure was finished, LL disappeared. Sofia and Farfar and I went to the Target to meet with Farmor, Hannah and Papole, but they were a little late so we went to look at bicycles.
Papole arrived and he bought bikes for the children. They were very excited.
And then we brought the bikes to the bed and breakfast and went to lunch at the KingFish place n the river. The chilren sat to either side of me and Paople took pictures.
And then we came back to try the brand new bikes and both children learned how to ride bikes -- just like that! Of course they fell, Hannah crashed into a car about four times ad Sofia fell and scraped a tiny bit of skin on her hand, but it was great! I made a recording the them riding bikes for the first time in their lives.
And then it was dinner time and we went to the Waffle house. The children were incredibly happy.
And then it was becoming bed time.
Sofia did not have payammas and so Farfar lend her an undeshirt and I kissed my children good night and left them to sleep with Farmor.
Hannah fell asleep right away. Sofia was another story but I did not know that until the next morning when Farmor came down to tell me.
April 11, 2007 (I did not know this at the time, did not find out till the last week in July, but Sofia was supposed to visit the KGB today.)
April 12, 2007
This morning I am sitting in the dinning room and Famor comes down to tell me about Sofia last night.
"I had a shower and Sofia was very hezitant to go to sleep. She felt inscure. She fell asleep on one side of my bed. and about midnight she became very unrully and she tossed around violently and kicked and flung herself about and moaned and finally she woke up... And she had to wake up from all that! And then she stood there next to the bed. I tried to cover her up and that was worse and so then I left her alone and when she woke up, she stood at the side of the bed for a while.... and the she looked at the other bed and then she took her bed and went to lie down in a corner of the other bed because Hannah was and there. She was trying to fall asleep but she was also sort of moaning there and so I went over and said "Sofia are you unhappy?" and so I said" let me cover you better," but it was not possible since Hannah had taken all the covers and there was that stupid cover that I used for my knees... and then I put my morning dressing gown on top of her and then.
Yes,She hesitated to go to bed last nght bussing herself with all kinds of things such as arranging Hannah's things on the shelf and then whernn that was done she stood by the horse and then I went to get Daddy's night shirt and she put it on right away. And the\n she did not lie down she just sat on the arm rest of that couch where and I gave her a kiss and lent her the phone so that she could call LL. She can not have have spoken with LL for more than 3 minutes and when I came back I saw she was sitting rather sheepishly with the telephone in her hand. And so when I came in from the shower she was asleep at the very edge of the bed. I figute that she had been admonished by sharing a bed with anybody. She was so tired that as
I am afraid that she had been scared stiff of this whole outing.
I thought that this night was really telling, telling a lot of things. "
Said farmor.
April 12, 2007
It is of interest that the children are so happy to be with us that they are in a kind of seventh heaven. They have mastered bike riding -- Sofia learned how to take off from a stand still today and soon she and Hannah were chasing each other on bicycles like crazy. I woke up first and Farmor came and told me the stuff in the paragraph above and then slowly the remaining family members awoke, the last one being Sofia. However, by the time Sofia had been at the breakfast table a little while she became lively. Hannah had already been for a bike ride and was in thrilled mood. She bounced on the couches and made Sofia laugh. Then farmor told Sofia that she would buy her Payamas today and Papole got all giddy with her and soon we were a happy family eating breakfast. We rode bikes for a little while but it was very cold.
We all rode in Papole's station wagon to Lincoln's birth place (at least that is what it was believed to be until three years ago.) We stopped at the rest area on the way there and at a restaurant for lunch... the girls were so happy, it was unbelievable. It's like every step they took was exciting and thrilling. They are learning German at breakneck speed. They understand a great fraction of what I tell them and are completely calm when I speak with them in German. They ate so much ice cream for desert it was nuts! Farfar had already ordered ice cream for them and then they saw that if they got a green gum ball from the chewing gum machine that they could get a free ice cream. Unblieveably, they each got a green gum ball. It was incredible! I estimate the chances to be about 0.03 by counting the visible green ones and dividing by the total number visible. They were so thrilled that they called LL and told her.
I was able to see that Sofia was not comfortable talking with LL. The children have NEVER said that they wanted to call her. She has also never called herself. There was a moment when Sofia was talking about the bruise she got on her leg when she fell while bicycle riding. Sofia knew that to elaborate on this issue would make LL's mind whirl and so she gave her only the kind of information that LL could not use against me: "Farmor has a medicine that she put on it," "It does not hurt at all," "It's nothing Mom." etc... and I imagined LL trying to probe for issues but I could not hear her voice since the phone is not on speaker phone...
Today is day two. A great day. The children had never been to Lincoln's birthplace and loved it. There were very few people there since it was a thursday.
When we came back to the bed and breakfast there was another bike riding session and that was a thrill. Hannha kept saying that she has never been this happy in her entire life.
Then there was dinner at the Italian Restuarnt on the river side -- oh my goodness did the children love Papole. Hannnah was bouncing off of him and Sofia was pulling at his arms and they were having such a good time it was unbelievable.
And then we came back home and the children took baths with the soaps that Farmor had bought for them yesterday and the flee market and ... Oh Sofia loves her new Payamas,a nd I kissed them good night and they were so tired that they fell asleep right away.
April 13, 2007
Farmor came into out bed room and said "Oh Allan, last night the children must have been exhausted because they fell asleep in an instant and they are still asleep and there was no kicking or moaning. They were happy." and Papole added "Yes, I thought yesterday was a very successful day."
LL called and said that she had tried to call Farfar but that the battery was dead or something like that, and that she wanted to speak with Farfar and I said "Good Morning Rena!" and offered to let her speak with the children too adn then Hannah brought the telephone to Farfar and it turned out that LL wanted to speak with Farfar about when the children were going to be dropped off, but at first Farfar talked about Lincoln's cabin and then he spoke about how glad he was that LL had let us have such a wonderful time with the children and then he told her that he did not really know at what time he would be dropping off the children but it seemed like 7PM was about right. LL said that she might go to the supermarket. And Farfar said "In ny case we will wait for you." Hannah said that Sofia did not want to speak with her.
Farfar and I took the children for a second breakfast to a small restaurant nearby. The children both ate a great deal. And then it was time for bicycle riding. Firs tthey rode in the parking lot behind the bed and breakfast. Then we explored going around the block. Hannah had a hard time and Sofia had an even harder time. I am just glad that one time Sofia made it around the block. Bike riding was cool and groovy. When Farfar and I took them to lunch, it took a great deal of coaxing from both Farfar and myself to get them to eat.
When Farmor and Papole came back in the early afternoon they provided more entertainment for the girls.
In the late evening, there was more bike riding and then there was the struggle of taking the children back to LL.
Paople called LL to tell her that we were on our way.
It was a smooth and easy transition. I told LL that I love her and she looked at me and it was a crazy moment. I have been glad and thinking about that moment for the last several hours and thought that it was a sign of my true self: abandoned to correctness.
Now, just so you know -- no one in my family made any mention of the Judge, the alegations, Nancy, anybody or anything ever at all to my children. They were delivered to LL without having been told any thing.
I reckon LL is such a cunt that she can not imagine this. (I must have told her that I love her to use that word.)
I think we carved a great part into the lives of Sofia and Hannah.
Farmor believes that there is nothing the Lasky's will be able to say to turn the children against us. I believe that if they try that they, the Laskys, will be hurt by it.
Allan; I received your phone messages. I regret that this is the first opportunity I have had to reply. In taking some time away from work, I returned to a mess....making for some very difficult 12 hour days. I had hoped to meet your parents but am very happy to hear that things are normalizing a bit...that you had a nice time with your family. Are you planning some time with your children this weekend (Sunday) as well? When are your parents and brother leaving town? Richard
April 14, 2007
Dear Richard, Yes, I am hoping to take my children bike riding and swimming on Sunday. Plan to pick them up from Lorena's on Sunday at 1:30PM. I do not think you need to be there. I will call you if you like. My parent's tel number is 919- 401-8688, my brother's is 512 - 836 - 8434 and they will all be glad to speak with you about the three days.
Life goes on,
Allan
April 14, 2007
Dear Lorena,
I believe the children were very glad to be with my side of the family and I echo my parent's and brother's delight in spending time with Sofia and Hannah. Papole thought your "house was lovely." I, of course, was happy as can be to parent to our children.
Tomorrow it might rain, although I think that it will be a nicer day than today, so I am hoping to do one or all of the following activities.
1, Take bicycles, riding: would you please be so kind as to have the children have their helmets and knee pads and gloves too, if they have some.
2. Go swimming: We did not swim during the time with my parents, so if you could be so kind as to see to it that they bring their swim stuff that would be great!
And yes, Richard and Lorena, as far as Saturday the 28th is concerned I am glad to have the children on that day instead of Sunday so that, as far as I am concerned, you may accept the invitation.
Thank you very much,
Sincerely,
Allan
April 14, 2007: LL sends this email to me and Richard.
Allan:
Can you switch Sunday with Saturday in two weeks? In other words, can you have your visit on Saturday the 28th? Please let me know ASAP, so I can RSVP regarding an invitation we have.
Richard:
Are you available on the 28th?
Lorena
April 14, 2007: I respond positively.
April 14, 2007
No problem at my end either. Richard
April 15, 2007
Thanks Richard. We will plan on Saturday the 28th instead of Sunday the 29th, then.
Lorena Lasky
And the only thing I wonder is why does she not thank me for arranging the outing on Saturday instead of Sunday? She only thanks Richard.

This is what Paople had to say about my children. "Much better!" Sofia is very vulnerable.
Remember I had sent this email to Francy before Spring Break? Here is his response:
Querido Francy,
Allan
Here is his response:
si mi amigo!!! como me alegro saber que pasaste un buen tiempo con tus hijas y que tal estan ellas?? aqui tambien la vida ha mejorado bastante para mi y mi familia, estoy muy contento por eso,y lo de casarme estan en los planes despues de terminar la facultad, y asi!! lo de fatima ace poco estuve chateando con ella, esta super bien, dice q se caso con un brasilero, que ya compraron un departamento, esta mejorando mucho tambien su vida.
And this is what I wrote to him:
Querido Francy,
Has escuchado algo?

Allan
Well, here is my current take on my children's reality. I reckon that since the children were dropped off fairly late in the evening and they were in an incredibly happy mood that LL was not able to get through to them with her shit and did not even try. It is possible, even probable that today (the next day) that LL and Nancy tried to get the children to tell stories and the like about their time with me and my family that might make their case. I do not know what they are doing but I imagine they might do things like make the case that I did not care for Sofia's braces (which is not true but Sofia at one point called her mother to complain about them), or about the scrape on her knee from the bicycling or some such idiotic nuance... but I am hoping that if they said anything bad about me to the children that this will back fire on them because I never said anything bad about them (even though I wanted to tell my children the truth, I do not want them in the middle and so I will tell LL on the 18th.) All in all, our time with the children was great -- even awesome. I would say that we beat them square with the purity of our kindness.
Am I crazy to think that the Lasky's are so stupid to not realize that I and my family do not have their qualities? I don't think so. I think they will even think that it is not possible for me to not tell the children the truth and they will ask the children what I might have said about them. If the children are not scared (which they probabaly are) they will tell them that I said that I love them all. I know that they heard me speak to Aunt Lara and tell her that I love her on the phone when she called the first day. I did this in spite of her attrocious behavior with me just last week and I did this in spite of knowing well that she is a terrible person. Why? Because this is an issue between adults.
April 15, 2007
Papole and I will go pick up the children today.
And indeed there are some emails from LL that I have not yet integrated into my journal from this time and I hope that I do not forget???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
But it was really good to have Papole with me for those 6 hours today. We picked the children up from LL after a nasty telephone call. At first Hannah had called to say that she wanted to go bike riding and asked me to bring the bicycles. Then she pointed out that Joey had a bike too and that it had training wheels. I told her that it would not take long before Joey would be able to ride like she, and then she wanted him to go bike riding with us. I said "Joey's parents would need to approve," so she went asd asked Aunt Rebecca and I could hear from the tone of her voice that it was not a friendly response. She came to me and said that she could not ride with Joey but then she got off the phone again and asked Uncle John who respondec "not this time Hannah..." and then she was really sad but I do not know what happened because the telephone was suddenly cut off. A few minutes later Hannah called me to ask if it was alright if she did not meet with me. I told her that I would need to speak with LL about this. Hannah went on to say that it would not be so bad because I would be with Sofia..." (I thought, 'hum, she has been getting advice from the LL contingency as to what to say to me.") and then when LL came on the phone I said "Please take matters into your hands and find a nice way to tell Hannah that she has to spend time with me." At this time LL was no longer at her sister's house and apparently was driving the car. Actually getting her to take the phone was a struggle since she was claiming that she could not speak ont he phone at the same time that she was driving and Hannah was saying that this was not true "I have seen you do it before!" said Hannah. Anyhow, I was talking with LL who at this time was angry and accused me of putting the child int he middle and raising her hopes. My telephone was on speaker phone and both Papole and Subir were listening in and they signaled to me that I should cut the phone in order to save the children the madness. I hung up one her just as she was telling me that I could not pick the children up at her home. . Then I called right back and told her thaat this kind of conversation is fine so long as the children are not present.
I called Richard Nassr and told him what had happened, I left the information in a message.
Richard called me back and asked to re-describe what had happend. I think he had already spoke with LL. I think he understood that LL was nuts?
In the end, we met at LL's and Papo and I got the children. We dro9ve first to Cherokee park. I took the children on a long bike ride -- longer than they have ever been before and it included a long downhill. The childrne became very adept at using their brakes and then we went to the Smoothie KIng place on Bardstown road. The children spoke with Farfar and Farmor and were extrememly happy.
Then we wanted to go swimming at the YMCA but when we got there, we werre told that there was a scuba class taking palce so we got two freee entrances for the next two weeks. We went to the speed Art museum but they were already closed. We went to Papa Johns for dinner and then on another long bike ride int he residential neighborhood of the high lands. We returned to LL's 6 minutes late. Richard was worried because Papo's phone was off and my phone's battery was dead and he had not been able to communicate with us.
Papole appologized on my behalf for my cursing Richard out. "Lame fucking idiot."
April 15, 2007
Dear Mommy and Daddy,
It was very special that you came to Louisville and I loved this very much. Thank you thank you thankyou.
I just got an email from LL stating that the children had a wonderful time with me and Papo today. We took them bike riding... we must have clocked about ten miles -- which is pretty slow considering that we were with the bikes for 4 hours, but we stopped and drank smoothies and ate huge cookies and now Papole is fixing Sunny's computer.
Papole is really in a good form today.
Unabassed, unafraid and fulll of great ideas.
Lots of Love,
Allan

The children also told me they had a very good time. They had a lot of fun with Mark, too.
Thank you about Saturday the 28th. As soon as Richard confirms, we can make it a deal.
You left LeeAnn's last time before we scheduled so Lee Ann & I went ahead & picked a date. We are scheduled to see her again this coming week on Wed. the 18th at 3:30 pm. Can you make it?
Lorena Lasky
April 15, 2007
Dear Lorena,
Thank you for this very nice email. Yes, it was a beautiful day today and a great day for bicycle riding. The children rode their bikes around Cherokee Park and around a residential neighborhood and must have clocked between five and ten miles.
Yes, I will meet you at LeeAnn's on Wednesday the 18th at 3:30PM.
I called LeeAnn right after leaving the office (last time) when I remembered that we needed to set up another date. I asked LeeAnn that you and she should schedule a date for ASAP and at your conveniences.
LeeAnn called me a day or so later and let me know the date of the next appointment. I have thus already confirmed with her several weeks back.
However, I am very happy that you sent me this reminder. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Allan
P.S. Sofia and Hannah call Mark aka Papo or Papole, Munchkin.
April 16, 2007
Dear Hannah and Dear Sofia,
I will bring the bicycles on Sunday in my car and we can go riding ( Fahrad fahren) on Sunday. I was told that it is really nice to ride at the riverside park. Would you like to go there? I am a very happy father that you learned to ride bikes so quickly: In one day you were both riding! I am very proud of you.
Lots of love,
Your Daddy
April 17, 2007
Dear Sofia and dear Hannah,
Today was a very pretty day and I found myself a bicycle. It is a big bike so you will not be able to ride it until you are big girls but it is a nice bike and I look forward to bike riding with you. We can start at Mommy's house and bike ride where ever you want to go. I still have the bike helmets and I will bring them along so that you can protect your heads. Do you have gloves? They are very good to wear because they protect your hands just in case you fall. I do not think you will ever fall again because you are such good riders. Later, when I get you bigger bikes I will get bikes with gears so that you can go faster on the downhills and slowly on the uphills.
Lots of love,
Your daddy
April 17, 2007
Dear Lorena and Richard,
I am emailing you to ask if it is alright to also spend time with the children on the Saturday -- the firs tweek end in May?
Thank you,
Allan
April 17, 2007
Dear Daddy,
Do you want to simply wait now until June 12 for another hearing? There are so many more details that need to be worked on before the custody hearing including:
(1) Acess to school.
(2) I want to be able to spend time with my children after school and before Lorena picks them up (during after school care - that will save Lorena money.)
(3) Access to Soccer games (Hannah is on a soccer team) and Gymnastics (Sofia)... and the chess club.
(4) Child support issues has still not been established.
(5) The Judge needs to order email communciation because it is not happening (between the children and me.)
(6) The Judge needs to order telephone calls because it is rarely happening (between the children and me.)
and so on.
I think it is better we ask for another motion to get these things. What do you think?
Lots of Love,
Allan

I appeared at LeeAnn's and she told me that LL had cancelled. Why didn't LL tell me?
April 18, 2007
Dear Lorena,
You set up the meeting with LeeAnn.
You emailed to tell me of that meeting.
I emailed you back to confirm.
Then, you did not call to tell me that you would not go. You did not send a text message. You did not send an email (not that I could have checked it at work today, but still.)
And I went to our appointment with LeeAnn. today at 3:30PM.
There was a lot we needed to discuss.
LeeAnn told me that you had recently called her to cancel. LeeAnn told me that she understood that you were going to call me to tell me that you were cancelling. .
There are a multiplicity of ways in which this is not right. Please address them and attempt to make things as right as possible.
Sincerely,
Allan
April 18, 2007
I was able to speak with my children for a little while -- but LL sure was a bitch on the phone -- like Craig Hansen and Richard, not a note of appology. She had not bothered to let me know that she canceled our meeting today and frankly, she didn't care. Craig and Richard are arrogant, self righteous people whol can not find fault with themselves. LL is wholly at fault and wants it. It is obvious to me that the children feel uncomfortable speaking with me on the phone when their mother is around. Their mother calls me dad and I have asked to be called Daddy.
April 18, 2007
Dear Helmers,
Again I am asking about another motion so that I may have:
(1) Acess to school.
(2) I want to be able to spend time with my children after school and before Lorena picks them up (during after school care - that will save Lorena money.)
(3) Access to Soccer games (Hannah is on a soccer team) and Gymnastics (Sofia)... and the chess club.
(4) Child support issues has still not been established.
(5) The Judge needs to order email communciation because it is not happening (between the children and me.)
(6) The Judge needs to order telephone calls because it is rarely happening (between the children and me.)
and so on.
Sincerely,
Allan
April 19, 2007
Dear Lorena,
I am very sorry to ask this of you again but my list of the children's social security numbers is in Memphis. I need these again the insurance company. Could you please send them to me again? Or Richard, you told me that you have their numbers, could you send them to me please?
Thank you,
Allan
April 19, 2007
Dear Lorena,
I am writing to suggest that on Hannah's birthday, I pick the children up from school and take them to your house at 7PM. I will do homework with them and then we will have a small party.
Thank you,
Allan
April 20, 2007
7:00PM, 8:00PM, 8:15PM I called LL to see if I could speak with my children but the phone just rang interminably.
I called LeeAnn to tell her about the situation with emails, (I've gotten one since she has been invlved) and tel calls (one this week.)
April 21, 2007
Dear Lorenza,
I called last night at the appropriate time but no one picked up the phone.
My children have now missed two calls in the current week.
Please provide for make-ups.
Sincerely,
Allan

Allan, here is a draft of the letter I propose to send
to Rena. Is it OK with you?
Dear Rena,
Thanks again for the good time we had with our
grandchildren during Spring Break. I hope to see more
of them in the future.
I have a suggestion which will benefit both you and
Allan, as well as the children. Allan’s present job
allows him free time in the afternoon. He could pick
up the children at school and take care of them until
you returned home from your job around 5:30. At that
time, he would bring them to your house, and wait for
you if you are later than expected.
If the children are hungry, Allan could give them
something to eat. There is a public library not far
from the school where he could supervise them as they
did their homework, and help them if needed, and even
tutor them. When the homework is finshed, he could
take them to the park, now that the weather has become
warmer, or he could take them to their afternoon
sporting activity, or take them swimming or, if the
weather is bad, he could let them play chess or work
with puzzles, read books, or learn how to use a
computer, etc. All of this would be more fun and more
educating for the children than waiting around in
school until you came to pick them up after work.
The advantage to you of this arrangement is that it
would save you the cost of the after-school care. It
would also mean an end to the telephone calls, which
would become unnecessary.
This proposal is meant to be informal. I don’t want
to have it embodied in a lengthy agreement drafted the
one lawyer, reviewed by another lawyer, then submitted
to the judge for approval. The arrangement should be
flexible and voluntary, based on cooperation between
you and Allan. It should be tried and, if it works
out well, it could be continued. If it does not work
well, you could cancel it or it could be changed. In
any case it would not last beyong the June 12 hearing,
where the whole business of parenting will be
reviewed. Would you like to give it a try?
Kind regards,
William
April 20, 2007
Dear Daddy,
Yes, that is OK. Please feel free to send it.
Love, Allan

Spoke with Sofia from 1:30PM to 3:00PM. Notes on this conversation include (a) LL told Sofia that LL would call me later. (2) LL got Sofia off the phone because the "thunder over Louisville drama was just beginning." (3) Grammy and Rebecca's family were going to be there this afternoon. (4) Sofia wanted me to bring the bike helmets over today. (5) LL had refused to go bike riding because I had the bike helmets and put the blame on me. (6) LL had however not gotten either Sofia or Hannah's bikes fixed because "she did not have the time." (7 and we spoke py as can be to stay ont he phone with me. She found places to hide so that she would not cross paths with LL while talking to me. (8) We spoke about the Sun School - a make believe school that she has set up in her basement, we did some division problems (What's a million divided by a thousand?) and we spoke about tomorrow: Speed Art Museum, YMCA, bike riding and ice cream parlour.
April 22, 2007
I had a great time with Hannah and Sofia and Richard provided Peter with an impression of himself that left Peter thinkeing the worst of Social workers in the world. (my own words.) Peter's words are "creepy," when it comes to describing Richard.
Ok, so I pick the children up with Richard present and Hannah says that I should not touch her pocket because her mother told her this. At the end of the time with them Hannah told Richard that this is what her mother terms "her pivates," and that is why I am not to touch her pocket!
I am sure that Richard is perplexed as hell as to what shit is going on with the Lasky's.
I am ruthless with everybody.
I have no patience any more.
I tell Richard that I consider Kim and Ginger to be his "friends," because "he dropped the case for a third of a yeat under their guidance." Richard reacted to this by telling me that he is "not their friend."
Ok, first Sofia calls me and I think she did so without LL knowing. She asks me when I am going to drop off the bikes. I told her that I had already done so and that the bikes are in the back of the house. I tell her that I will see her soon.
We ride bikes from LL's house to the ice cream parlour and then to Perer's house and there, Peter is a great host. Wow!
He makes art the theme for the children who love this, although then Hannah takes to the two dogs.
And then we ride bikes to Dizzy Whiz where they eat dinner.
And that is fun as can be.
And then Peter serves them ice cream -- so they got two ice cream's today.
And then they played in the park. (Richard observed this incognito to us all.)
They spoke with Farfar on the phone at Peter's house.
They spoke with Papole in the car ride back to LL's house.
I fixed their bikes for them at LL's house.
(I need to pump up their tires for them still.)
And then, at LL's while the children were bathing, I brought up some things with LL in Richard' s presence like:
1. That I am to pick the children up from school tomorrow (it being Hannah's birthday.)
2. That I am to do home work with them tomorrow at the Public library or the coffee shop..
3. That I am to deliver them to LL's house tomorrow at 7:00PM.
4. That LL is to set up the next appointment with LeeAnn gardner ASAP.
5. That there are to be four telephone calls next week: and these are on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. (at 7PM except Friday at 8:00P)
6. That the children are to get their emails and respond to them this week.
7. That German is OK.
April 22, 2003: I sent a quick email to Richard
Dear Richard:
I need to wake up very early tomorrow for work but I wanted to get some things that are important to you in an email: Let me ramble them to you....
Sofia and Hannah played in the park. (You observed this incognito to us all.)
FYI:They spoke with Farfar on the phone at Peter's house. They spoke with Papole in the car ride back to Lorena's house.
I fixed their bikes for them at Lorena's house.
(I need to pump up their tires for them still.)
And then, at Lorena's while the children were bathing, I brought up some things with Lorena in your presence like:
(at 7PM except Friday at 8:00PM)
6. That the children are to get their emails and respond to them this week.
7. That German is OK.
And Richard please make notes on the issue of "pockets" = "private parts"? (Hannah said) and you had a telephone conversation with LL: I wish I had been a fly on the wall..
Also, I promise you that I will work hard on finding more attenuated rhetoric with you from now on.
Sincerely,
Allan
April 23, 2007
I had a truly fantastic time with my children. We cellebrated Hannah's 7th birthday. Lorena brought them at 4:10PM to the coffee shop and from there we took the bikes to the supemarket at the mid city mall. We bought food for dinner and took this to Tyler Park where we made a picnic. We rode bikes like bandits. Fafar and Famor and Papole called and I got the video oh Hannah hanging upsede down talking with farfar on the phone. Then we rode to LL's place. LL had the insight to call out to me "hi Allan." I said to both my children "Ich liebe dich," and they disappeared inside the house. Now the thing is that I had to go to school and then came back to pick the bikes up at 8:30PM. I saw that the car was gone and the house seemed empty. Where are the childen? What is going on here? I thought to drive by Nancy's house to see if LL's car was there, but then decided that if they were going to continue to blunder that maybe now it would backfire on them and simply went home.
April 23, 2007
Dear Richard,
I got the childen at 4:10PM. I took pictures and video-taped the time at the park and parts of the bike ride to Lorena's place. The children did very well, were very happy, did their homewok in the Public libary, learned a lot, played tremendously and I delievered them a few minutes before 7:00PM to Lorena. I left the children's bikes locked near Lorena's place and came back for them with the car around 9:00PM at which time the house looked empty and Lorena's car was gone. I suspect they were taken to Nancy's home.
Nancy projects in her email to me. I saw that Lorena copied you in on it.
Sincerely,
Allan
April 23, 2007: I get this fom Lorena and Nancy
I am forwarding this at my mother's request. I had no part in it's composition. It is the reply to my asking her about the German conversation we discussed Sunday.

>Previously, you and Lorena had agreed to raise the children bi-lingual. You were to speak Spanish to them and Lorena English. I guess that plan has slipped you memory, or perhaps you choose German as a "secret:" language. In any case...
>

>And more importantly, why are you so insensitive to the cues the children send? Oh my god, that lady is so fucked up. "surogate"? I can't imagine -- and she projects like crazy.

Dear Lorena,
In front of Richard you stated that there would be four calls this week -- one of them today -- and I called seveal times, starting at 7:00PM and ending at 7:45PM. Every time I called, the phone rang without being picked up.

April 25, 2007
When I look inside my heart and ask it for what my heart thinks is going on, I get a resounding note of fear: fear that my children are going through hell with the Lasky - Ungaro cohort. I have no news of my children since leaving them with LL. She said to me "Bye Allan," or something like that, and this is OMINOUS. She took the children away from her home that same day (April 23, 2007 Hannah's birthday) as evidenced by LL's car being gone when I came back two hours later for the bikes, and the next day I was not able to speak with my children. There has been no email from LL except for that heynous email that she forwarded from Nancy. It is a dangerous time. I thought to drive by Nancy's home last night but then did not. I wanted to know if LL's car was there: That would have made me almost 100 percent certain that my children are living in the Lasky-Ungaro hell and maybe I wanted to spare myself the anguish of knowing but I doubt it. I will be calling again in 25 minutes, (it will be 7PM) and then maybe I will have more to add to this paragraph. But for now, I can say that it is Hannah who is much more likely to suffer in the Lasky-Ungaro hell. She is the one who manifests the pathologies associated with living in the Lasky-Ungaro hell. This includes telling me not to touch her, telling em thatI can not touch her pocket because that is a private part, (her pocket most probably had a secret cell phone or recorder? or maybe it just had a telelphone number so that she could call LL?). Also remember that the children say that I am not the uncle of their cousings, that they are no longer Headricks and so on.... These things hurt Hannah much more than Sofia because Hannah is much younger. But that is not to say that the damage Sofia incurrs is not incalculable.
7:00PM I called and spoke with my children enough to learn that they are alright. Good. That is not to say that it was entirely easy. First Hannah did not want to speak wth me because she wanted to watch a movie on TV and then the same thing happened with Sofia but between the two of them I was able to speak with them for 27 minutes. Sofia and I surfed the internet looking at National Parks: That led me to write the following two emails...
Dear Lorena,
Sofia is doing a homework that involves knowledge of National parks and I thought it would be good to take the children to Mamoth Caves. It is however a two hour drive (have to stop for fifteen minutes) and that would make it too tight to squeeze into a six hour time slot. So, I am writing to ask if it would be alright with you to let me pick the children up at around 9AM and drop them off at 7:30PM? You are, of course, as always, invited to come with us. I will write an email to Sofia on this topic. Please read it and tell me if you allowed her to read it.
Thank you,
Sincerely Allan
Dear Sofia,
Mamoth Cave National Park is about 2 hours away from Louisville and that means that it's just a little bit too far for us to go and come back in time .... However I will speak with Mommy and see if we can help make this trip possible.
Lots of Love,
Your Daddy

I called the KGB and left a message for KIm Dial asking per politely if she could give me a copy of the document that she copied from my journal the first day I ever met her: Three years ago to the month!
7:00PM I tried to call my children but all that happened was that the phone rang interminably.
Dear Lorena,
I would like to take the children bicycle riding on Saturday starting at 1:30PM. Would you please drop them off for me at Seneca Park? If I remember right, there is a four way stop sign on the north east corner of Seneca Park. The north-south street is called Conan's lane and the other street runs east-west along the northern side of the park. Would you please drop the children off at that four way stop sign. I understand that there might be cars right there, but there will be a place you can park somewhere near there and along the edge of the park. Thank you very much,
Allan
April 28 I think, 2007
After checking out the movies playing at the Village Eight movie theater and seeing the times and kinds that there were, and delivering the chilren's bikes to the tree nearest the place where LL was to drop them off (At the four way stop sign at Seneca Park and Cannon's lane), and then driving my car (with my bike still in the back) to dog hill, parking the car there and rifingi the bike back to the drop off point, I was ready for LL. Richard was there, but LL was not. She called to say that there was a lot of traffic. I passed the phone on to Richard and let he\im tell LL how to get to were we were. LL arrived 18 minutes late.
The children were excited about riding bikes. It is mostly down hill from Seneca park to LL's house so I thought we would have an easy time.... And we did at the start. We came to the park and there Hannah played and Sofia and I made a picnic. Then we continued to pedal. At first Sofia was afrai (we were crossing the interstate on the bridge) and it took her a long time to learn how to use her brakes effectively. But then she got a good hang of it. Both children love the long steep fast down hills. We rodo to a place by the river and then took the bikes off road and tht meanst that it was time to spend time on the river itself. This was fun for the children. Sofia got her feet completely soaked and made a special home for a snail out of rockes while Hannah practiced her still at throwing rocks. She is, by the way, a very good rock thrower. She has the form and style. Where did she learn that? Any ways, then we continued to the car and took it to the movies. (We left the bikes locked by where the car had been parked.) Hannah sat on my lap and loved the movie. Sofia sat by my side and loved the mivie too. It was called return to Terabithia about a very cool girl. I could not have chosen a better movie. When we returned to the bikes we rode straight to Smoothie King. Hannah had told Sofia that she would let her ride first. This is because Hannah had been in front the entire time and Sofia had pointed out that this was not fair. The problem was that Sofia would not (or could not) ride up hill. She did not want to (or could not ) pedal. That frustrated Hannah who finally just went ahead. After it all blew up out of proportion I told Hannah that she should get off her bike and walk like Sofia so that Sofia could stay ahead. Sofia told Hannah that she was "a liar," and I said that it was true that Hannah had lie when she said that Sofia would stay ahear do f her and this made Hannha cry. "I a not a liar!" she screamed out. (Of course the problem is that she had lied to her therapists the entire time with the Lasky's because of their coaching and I am not allowed to point that out yet....) Then Sofia pointed out that Hannah did not play fair and I said "Ok, Sofia that's enough! You need to stand up for your sister. She loves you and never means tto hurt you but what you just now said attacks not her actions but her personality and that is very wrong." This upset Sofia who promptly sat down on the ground stating that "she Hates Hannah and she hates Daddy." I looked at both my unhappy children for a minute and then said "Als ich ein kleines Kind war, ist unser Haus abgebrannt und da war ich traurig wie euch." I locked up the bikes and slowly coaxed them into Smoothie King. Hannah drank her entire smoothie and ate her chocolate chip cookie, but Sofia would onl eat her cookie. I did not think the children were hungry. They had eaten granola with soy milk, parts of a Subway sandwich (vegetarian) and banana's at the picnic in the park, peperoni sticks and cheese crackers in the car on the way to the movie theatre... they had not wanted to eat anything in the movie theater and now it was a nice surprize to discover that they were hungry after all. Their moods became great again. Hannah let Sofia go first down the alley ways and side streets (and bardstown road's sidewalk) to the Wallgreens (the oldest in the USA) next to which there is an ice cream parlour. I pulled out the art suplies and Sofia immediately started making some cool images that Hannah wanted to copy but could not. Then Hannah started to cry. I thought "maybe she needs more food?" (I vieo taped this incident becasue of Sofia's beauty with her sister.) I got them both ice creams and the children'soods became fantastic again. They drew like there was no tomorrow. Richard arrived and the children were in a great mood. I do not know if he had observed Hannah cry (in clandestine manner, but I do not care.) We rode our bikes to LL's house.
I congratulate my children on riding bikes from the North East corner of Seneca Park to LL's house. That is a major accomplishement. I does not matter that we stopped a million times to drink, eat, rest, play in the river at various spots, go to the movies etc... the fact is that they are such marvellous kids that I can do marvelous things with them.
Now, it was a slow and pedantic experience with LL. I proposed leaving the new bikes at her house and taking the old bikes with me so as to repair the old bikes. She relauctantly agreed. It took a long time but I believe the children forced her to exchange the bikes so that they could ride bikes during the week. Sure enough, ten minutes later the children brought me their bikes and Richard and I carried the new bikes up the atairs and left them in the side yard.
Then there seemed to be a great deal of secrecy associated with what they were going to do. I know that last time they all left soon after I had dropped them off. This itime it was obvious that they were going to leave because LL pretended that they were in a hurry. When Richard asked the children were they were going, they would not respond. Finally when LL came out Richard asked LL and she said they were going "to feed Dandylion." What did that mean? I think this is Rebecca's dog? So why didn't she say they were going to Rebecca's house? There are secrets in the Lasky home and clearly the children are not happy about this.
Richard gave me a have to ride to dog hill. He told me that I was going to face the issue that LL had brought up of the children not wearing Hemets on the bikes. I explained that they are not interested in being like their mother when they are with me. I explained that their mother never wanted to ride a bike the whole time that I knew her (In Paraguay it was a miracle when she and I rode our our bikes anywhere... but there was one bike ride that we did, from Rojas Silva to a village in the north and then we visited a PC volunteer. This bike ride was 45 KM or about 30 miles and it took us three days and we took the bus back.) What that means is that LL is as good a bike rider as the childlren. So, I m glad that LL is pretending to care about safety ont he bikes but I know that it is fictitious since she does not ride bikes with them. Maybe now she will when she realizes that she has good bikes and the children want to?
Ok, I told Richard that nothing important to the case had been discussed -- I did not mention the issue of Hannah being a liar and the relevance to the court because that aspect was not brought up.
Richard agreed with me that what this case needs is for me to play a greater and greater role in the lives of my childlren. There was an interesting de3bate we had when I told him that I could not do anything but swear at him for having dropped the case for 4 months and he said "I understand," and I responded "no you don't and what I thought was interesting was that he did not let up. He maintained that he could understand what I had been forced to go through with him. This could mean one of three things. (1) That Richard is an idiot whose rhetoric is not accurate and who does not know how to respond professionallly and appropriately or (2) that something similar happened to him and he does understand but which he can not explain because it would not be appropriate or professional (3) and he last reason is the most tenuous: that he is so pissed off with the missmanagement of this case that he actually understands.
Richard told me that he is playing phone tag with Kim Dial. He stated that he does not believe that Kim Dial has any good news for me, far from it: she is probably trying to find and angle to destroy me and my relationship with my children. Richard brought up the comment by Helmers that the children could be coached by the Lasky's and that this was something that could sway the court away from the Lasky's and it is possible that something like this is in the brew.
I firmly believe that the reason the children leave LL's place as soon as I drop them off is so that they get de-briefed by their grand mother and coached to make something out of nothing.

Dear Sofia and Dear Hannah,
Oh what a great day it was with you and all the bike riding that we did! Wow! First we rode to the car and then we went to a movie and then we rode from the car to Mommy's house. And the movie was really good! I think the girl, Lesley (was that her name?) was a very creative and intelligent girl and she was not afraid. You remember she was the first to jump from the edge holding to the rope and to look up at the sky and feel like she was flying. She also knew more about the land of Terabithia than Jess. She built the tree house, she orchestrated the whole adventure for Jess. But there was one thing that I was wondering at the end of the movie. There was the King and the princess and where was the Queen? Do you think that Jess thought that he would find the Queen in Terabithia? Do you think he built the bridge to Terabithia so that his little sister would not have to cross on the log? Do you think the movie was more about the bride to Terabithia or more about Lesley?
I love you very much,
Your Daddy

Dear Richard,
FYI: If it is true what you say, that Lorena wants to agree to NOBODY bringing up the issue of the allegations with the children ever again, which I will agree to for having joint custody of both children, then it is because she knows that her family is the source of the allegations and is trying to keep that under the carpet. But if the children bring it up, and they probably will, I will not keep them from getting the help they may need.
Allan

Dear Lorena,
Can you bring the children's bikes to the next meeting place? I would like to meet at the book store that is just inside of I -264 on the right hand side of Bardstown road as you go away from the city. I can not recall what it is called, but it is near an art supply store and it is in a shopping areal, and it is on the other side of the street from the entrance to the place where John and Rebecca got married. Do you know the book store? Again, it is just before you get to I-264 on the right hand side of Bardstown road. And again, can you bring the children's bikes in your car? And finally, I have still not heard that you have set up an appointment with LeeAnn -- can you please do this. (Oh and can you send me the children's social security numbers again? Please?)
Sincerely,
Allan

May 22, 2007 I think this is the date of the final exam
Sincerely,
Allan
April 1, 2007

April 1, 2007

Allan;
Sincerely,
Allan

Dear Lorena,
For the sake of the children I hope two things:
(1) That their Easter is normalized by you and Nancy and everybody else.
(2) That you bring the children to the Speed Art Museum.
I am sure you know that I would bring the children to Easter lunch at 2PM at Nancy's house and share Easter with your family if you said that was alright .
Sincerely,
Allan
April 7, 2007
Dear Papole,
My laptop does not have a word processor. Do you have one on a CD that you could bring me? That would be very pretty. Oh, and if you have a hard drive so that I can save all my shit, that would be cool too (you can take it back to TX.) Don't know if I am asking for too much, but if that is the case, please disregard as you are apt to do.
Lots of Love,
Fripalong de fripitty

Dear Lorena,
Farfar and then you, told me that I will be taking Sofia to the orthodontist. Would you please email me the name, address, phone number and time of the appointment and any other important information.
Thank you,
Allan

Dear Craig,
You are always needed even if it is for soemthing that you do not want to admit to in court.
Sincerely,

Haskell.
Lorena Lasky
April 7, 2007: and then right after that she sent me another email
I found the address on mapquest should you decide to stick with the plan of getting both girls at 7:45 and then transporting Sofia to the office. The link is below. The appointment is at 10:40 so I will meet you there at 10:30.
Haskell Orthodontics: 502-451-7803 3827 Taylorsville Rd Louisville, KY 40220, US
April 7, 2007: and so I responded to the above two emails as follows

April 7, 2007

April 7, 2007: I got an email from Francy!

April 9, 2007

Me hace falta tu pais.

Lots of Love,
Allan
April 15, 2007
Lots of Love,
Allan
April 18, 2007

>And more importantly, why are you so insensitive to the cues the children send?

Please?)
Sincerely,
Allan
