It sucks big time.
Today I went out with Tobias, a postdoc that started here a week after me. Cool guy. Awesome friend.
I asked this girl (you now who) about nice pubs in Cambridge. She mentioned five or six. I located them on the map, printed it out and, while I was on it, mentioned that she could join us if she had not any plans.
She said she might be busy til late, but she would probably join us at some point.
She asked me for my phone number in case she decided to go.
For the whole evening I paid more attention to the silent phone than to Tobias. Sorry, mate. I know you deserved better.
... She never phoned.
My feelings now: anger, for not being able to control my own feelings (who can do that, anyway?). Sadness. Deep, intense, sheer sadness. My heart is broken, hollow and beatless.

I don't wanna feel. I don't wanna breath her name every time my lungs get full of air. I don't wanna remember her sight. Nor remember her smile. This time it has hit me hard.

A ver si es verdad y te quedas ya en ese estado de no-más-mujeres. Al fin y al cabo es el mejor estado. Un control pleno, férreo... inconmovible. Solo los virtuosos son capaces de alcanzarlo pues necesita fuerza de voluntad, templanza y sabidurÃa.
