Workaholic, me? Never...
Those who know me at work will be surprised... I´m working 9 (legal minimum here) to 11 hours a day!!!! Believe it or not, its the real truth... So I have forgotten a bit about cooking, hanging around with mates for some beers during the week, trying to make homemade soap or simply walking around...
Yes, we have moved the work to full speed, to try and reach the objective of 25000 files (=children data and picture) for christmas... So we have hired in total 12 persons, this looks like a beehive when everybody is in the office! Hopefully most of them are in the field during the day, taking pictures to hundreds of nice or naughty philippino kids, being diplomatic with the teachers who ask for computers or PA systems... In the meanwhile in the office we struggle to keep up encoding every kids data and attaching the pictures to each file, preparing the planning for the coming days and texting the teachers to inform them when we plan to go. You read right, we TEXT the teachers or principals!! All philippinos have a mobile phone (here "CP" for cellular phone) attached to their hand, they send texts all the time!! So it might not sound like a very official communication, but it functions quite well.
I´d love to hear about your day to day life as well, or your exceptional days, whatever!! Do not hesitate do send me mails or comments, otherwise, you know, I´ll just ask you a thousand questions when seeing you again...you choose ;-)
